Job Seeker Services

We provide a variety of services that will give you the skills and confidence to ace the interview for your dream job.

Interview Preparation Questionnaire

Our Interview Preparation Questionnaire will help you think about your answers for your upcoming interview.  It will also give your interview coach some insight into your interview style and how you are currently answering interview questions.  You will complete this questionnaire prior to your mock interview so that both you and your coach will have the opportunity to review it.

Resume and Job Description Review

Prior to your mock interview, we will review your resume to make sure that it contains the quality content that employers expect.  Your resume should outline your work history and accomplishments, but it should also be consistent with the image that you portray in your interview.  We will also review the job description of the position that you are interviewing for, if applicable, so that you interview can be tailored to the requirements of the position.

LinkedIn Profile Review

Based on recent statistics, over 50% of employers are using social networking sites as a recruiting tool.  Similarly, over 50% of employers check the social networking sites of their applicants.  Your coach will review your LinkedIn profile to insure that you are displaying the best possible profile to attract potential employers.

Review of Your Job Search Goals and History

It is important for your interview coach to understand your job search goals as well as what you have done to reach those goals.  You and your coach will discuss what you have done that has worked well and what you have done that may need improvement.  Your coach will provide suggestions that will help you conduct your job search more effectively and reach your career goals.

Mock Interview

During the mock interview, your coach will ask you some common interview questions as well as some tough questions.  The coach will also ask some position specific questions, if applicable, to help you prepare for your upcoming interview.  The interview will give you the opportunity to answer the questions as you would in the real interview.  These sessions will be conducted by telephone (or by Skype) since a large percentage of screening interviews are conducted by telephone.  The telephone format also allows you to focus on the content of your responses and your voice qualities instead of other elements.

Interview Debrief

During the interview debrief, your coach will review your mock interview questions and answers with you.  The coach will tell you what you have done well and provide you with constructive criticism on potential areas of improvement. You will have the opportunity to ask the coach questions about the interview process as well.

Interview Content and Style Coaching

Your coach will review the content and style of your interview with you and provide feedback.  If you have delicate situations such as gaps in employment, terminations, or anything else that may need to be addressed during the interview, the coach can help you address those in a confident manner.  The coach can also provide you with feedback on how to handle any illegal or uncomfortable questions that you may encounter.

Follow-up Interview

The follow-up interview provides you with an opportunity to implement all of the tips and techniques that you have obtained through the mock interview process.  The coach will conduct a second interview with you followed by another debriefing so that you can gauge your progress.

Email Follow-up

You will have access to your coach by email throughout the entire process.  This will allow you to maintain contact with your coach and to ask any questions that you may not have asked during one of your telephone meetings.
